Why is my magic link different each time?

Every time you click the "copy magic link" button in a template, you'll notice that a new magic link is created. This is expected.

All magic links are stored as a cross-reference in our database, so previous magic links will still continue to work even if you've created newer magic links. (Doing it this way gives us the flexibility to do some cool things with this feature in the future. Stay tuned.)

It's a good idea to get into the habit of using the same magic link in each context (where context could be the email campaign you're drafting, the landing page you're building, and so on), regardless of if you're sharing these links in emails, on web pages, or in your customer support workflows.

If you're building a web page or sending out an email campaign that includes multiple calls to action — links or buttons — and you're making use of our handy email parameter feature, make sure to use the same magic link in all of the calls to action on the page or in the email.

Using the same magic link in each landing page or email campaign helps to ensure that every time your customer clicks their personalized magic link they're returned to the same sandbox. This minimizes confusion for your prospects, leads, and customers, and helps you to better conserve your sandbox allotment.
