Unable to SSH "Too many authentication failures" error with password
I entered my SSH password, but I received a "Too many authentication failures" error
Are you receiving "Too many authentication failures" AFTER entering your password several times?
First thing, be absolutely sure you've copied and pasted the password correctly into your terminal.
It's easy enough to copy-paste the wrong thing. To make matters worse, Safari has a fun little bug that makes our little "click here to copy" function useless.
If you're having trouble copying your password in Safari, try manually highlighting the password text, and manually copying and pasting the password directly into your terminal.
If you're still unable to connect, try adding the -v to your SSH command and send the debug output text to [email protected] and we'll take a look.
